By accessing or using PhotoComps ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before entering any competition.
You must be at least 18 years of age to enter paid competitions. Free competitions are open to all ages. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
Paid competition entries require a non-refundable entry fee processed securely via PayPal. Free competitions have no entry fee. Entry fees contribute directly to the prize pool as described on the competition page.
60% of all paid entry fees form the prize pool for each competition. The prize is distributed as follows:
Free competitions award winners an official PhotoComps digital badge and certificate in lieu of a cash prize.
You retain full copyright ownership of all photos you submit. By entering a competition, you grant PhotoComps a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display your photo on the Platform for the purposes of the competition and promotional material. You will always be credited as the photographer.
You warrant that you are the sole creator and copyright owner of all submitted photos, and that they do not infringe any third-party rights.
You may not submit photos that contain:
Winners are determined by a combination of community star ratings and judge review. The decision of PhotoComps judges is final. Winners will be notified by email and announced on the Platform.
Entry fees are non-refundable once submitted. If a competition is cancelled by PhotoComps, all entry fees for that competition will be refunded in full. Please see our Refund Policy for details.
PhotoComps reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, submits prohibited content, or engages in fraudulent activity.
PhotoComps is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the entry fees paid by you in the preceding 12 months.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
